There is a particular kind of confidence that comes from having seen the same pattern many times. You know what usually works. You know which button belongs where. You can move quickly.

But speed is not the same as attention. The interesting bit is usually hiding one question further in: what does this particular person need to feel? What would make this particular product make sense?

That is the work we keep coming back to. Not adding more, but looking closer. The result is often quieter than expected. It is also usually more useful.

We are not anti-tool, anti-technology or anti-anything. We are pro-intent. Use the shortcut when it helps you get to the good bit. Then spend the saved time on the bit nobody else could have made.
